This unit focused on the productive skills which are speaking and writing. As mentioned in this unit, writing is usually the more neglected skills rather than speaking. One of the basic reasons is that there are more chances and avenues for students to practice their speaking skills rather than their writing skills especially outside of the classroom or in an informal setting. This is a good reminder that writing should not be neglected and should be given equal importance during lessons. I appreciated how this unit tackled on the different types of activities that can be made use of in teaching speaking activities, whether it may be leading on accuracy or fluency.
