This course gives an overview of equipment and teaching aids that can be used in the classroom. Some of these include overhead projectors, video cameras, black/white boards, CDs and DVDs, etc. These are all to be used in class as a way of engaging with students in a way that might be more interesting and effective. There are a few items on the list that I would not have thought to incorporate into a classroom, especially a video camera. This unit has allowed me to see how valuable a video camera can be, though, as a way for encouraging self-correction and monitoring progress. I hope to use video cameras, as well as other equipment and teaching aids, in my classroom.
