Chapter 16 touched on the five main conditionals, how they are used and examples were given of typical usage and typical errors. Conditional teaching ideas like splitting a conditional and having the student make the appropriate match and students creating chain conditionals in a group ... Chapter 16 also covered the difference between direct speech and reported speech and identified the verb tenses and time expressions that adjusted when reporting back to another. Ideas were also offered as to how to practice and teach time expression for example: setting students in groups of 3 and have one student directly speak then the second student report to the third student.
