After reading this unit, I learned to differentiate between the four past tenses (simple, continuous, perfect and perfect continuous) and the appropriate usage of each. I also learned about the common mistakes and errors students may make and how I can correct them. The unit also gave me some helpful suggestions for activities and games that will get my students engaged with this lesson in a more fun way. Furthermore, I appreciated the list of irregular verbs that was provided because that?s one of the aspects of tenses that I have trouble with and so it is nice to have a handy chart that conjugates the most common irregular verbs that my students will encounter.
