In this unit, I've gained a better idea of how to utilize textbooks. I have also learned what some of the advantages and disadvantages are to using textbooks. I imagine that in the beginning, utilizing a textbook will be very helpful to figure out level-appropriate material. I imagine that I would start out looking through a textbook to figure out what material should be introduced then see if the textbook has any suggestions for how to introduce the material, and then look for other resources for suggestions on how to introduce the same material. After gathering ideas on how to present the material, I would build a lesson around what I think are the best suggestions.
