In the study of this unit we are made to understand that there four kills in the English language which are reading, listening, speaking and writing.reading and writing represents the receptive skills.We read or listen for a purpose or for mainly intertainment.before this is done succesfully skills like predictive skills, scanning, skimming, detailed information and deduction of information from contect must be taken into consederation although these also goes with numerouse problems or difficulties. From this unit i have learned the importance of reading and listening and how to help my students overcome difficulties when engaged in a reading or listening exercise.
