Covered receptive skills which are two out of four basic lauguage skills.Receptive skills are reading and listening.Reasons for listening and reading are for a purpose and entertainment, We read and listen in various ways,these include predictive skills,scanning,skimming,detailed information and deduction from content.Teaching receptive skills present various problems, there are a number of ways to approach the language difficulty.These include language teaching difficult vocabulary ,careful selection of text,interesting topics,creating interest and selection of tasks.I took away from this unit the sample outline of a typical receptive skills ESA patchwork lesson .
