Unit two, provides a glimpse into the rudiments of English grammar, with a focus on the elements that a teacher should normally tackle in the Beginner and/or Elementary levels. The unit concisely presents, explains, and exemplifies the building blocks of a simple sentence in English. It namely, elaborates on articles, nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, etc. which all go under the rubric of 'parts of speech,. What I liked about this unit was the generous use of examples following the presentation of each topic/item. We as teachers should always bear the significance of exemplification in our minds, especially when it comes to grammar teaching. I would like to end this section by quoting the great physicist, Albert Einstein, who stated that \"Example isn't another way to teach, it is the only way to teach.\" We shouldn't suffocate our students' sense of curiosity, initiation, problem-solving, induction, and tolerance for ambiguity by clinging tenaciously on deductive approaches, and bombarding the learners with blank formulas and structures. We should let them free as birds in the sky of the new language to soar and plunge and discover.
