In this unit I learned very important things to know before starting a job in another country such as gesture or body language that might not be appropriate at a specific country. It also suggests to get familiar with the country's culture, religions, languages talked, and history. Some of the problems that teachers need to consider when teaching in another country are their greeting customs, social behaviors, and political restrictions; thus, teachers should be very socially and politically conservative, never make comments on political issues or about people they work for/with, and know as much as they can about the country they will be working in. This unit, additionally, presents the basic parts of a resume and a template that could be followed to create a cover letter. Some of the important things to have in mind when creating a resume are to be honest on everything that you include on it, be short and relate to the area of interest, and try to give a good image of your personality. This unit ends with some websites that can be very useful throughout a teaching career, so that teachers can continue on their professional development.
