To begin with, on this unit 3 lots of techniques, approaches, theories were introduced to me. I have to say I already knew a few of them; but what I did not know, was how use them to my own advantage in the classroom. A class has three different phases and it is up to the teacher to introduce or use all these techniques to get his teaching points across the table. Another topic which was really interesting is correction. Correction is a difficult technique that can be perfected through the years. I have learned that correction must be intended to fix learning mistakes and avoid errors in students. Mistakes and errors have a very different nature and an ESL teacher needs to know well how to act on them. Above all said, this methodology is well oriented to achieve greatness in a classroom, but a teacher needs to bear in mind that language and culture differences will always play an important part in language acquisition; so it is important to be fair and understanding when it comes to the point of evaluating or assessing the students.
