I have always enjoyed the teaching of writing, perhaps for the reason that it is overlooked - not just in EFL, I think, but even in ELA at home. It is important skill whether it's your first language or second. This lesson gave me some food for thought in the teaching of writing, particularly as concerns the controlled versus guided activities.In this unit, I have learned about the different past tenses (past simple, past continuous, past perfect, past perfect continuous). There was also a list of irregular verbs, which I will be able to use for my classes. One of the best way to practice past tenses will be to discuss about past events, and ask questions to the students about it.
