Teach English in Yunchangping Zhen - Tongren Shi
I have learned that the modal verbs are followed by a verb in base form, but that the past form becomes much more difficult for students. I found the modal examples to be the simplest in this unit. The passive voice and the phrasal verbs gave me more trouble. Sometimes it's hard to differentiate between the transitive separable and transitive inseparable. I understand that you cannot separate the transitive inseparables but knowing and implementing are very different. I enjoyed learning about relative clauses, though, as I am fully aware of the necessity of a comma in certain sentences. I am a bit of a stickler for it in my own writing, but I am also aware that sometimes commas can be overused. I understand why it's important for essential information as opposed to non-essential information when writing.
