Unit 18 tells us about modals, phrasal verbs, and passive voice. In this unit, I learned that modals are used according to its usages such as ability, advice, obligation, offer, permission, possibility, prediction, prohibition, promise, request, and others. Some of the modal auxiliary verbs are used interchangeably according to the meaning and/or degree. On the other hand, I learned about active and passive voice and how to transform sentences in the active voice to passive voice and vice versa. I was also able to learn about phrasal verbs such as turn up, take on, got over, drop off, and the like. I also learned about the three categories pf clauses which are the independent clause, dependent clause, and relative clause. Lastly, I was able to get some teaching ideas on how to teach these grammar points.
