This unit compares two different approaches in teaching same topic about modal verbs, and highlights the importance of teachers' attitude and behaviour (gesture&tone) in affecting students' attitude towards lesson. This unit reminds me that teachers should be always careful in selecting suitable phrases or words during lessons, such as reassuring students when they have got a wrong answer instead of showing disapproval. Also, teachers should always be well-prepared, preparing different activities before lessons in order to make lessons fun and arouse students? learning interest. Through watching the two videos, I am also reminded that teacher and students are closely linked together in classroom. Teacher should always make oneself connected with students to facilitate communication between the two.
