Building on Unit 7, this unit has given me further insight on how to plan more clearly based on an ESA system. I enjoyed how the unit was structured with clear examples given. However, I did find the options on the test to be contradictary and ambiguous at times. While I do understand that there are few hard and fast rules and that the course is meant to encourage critical thinking on the teacher's part, it has mostly served to a multitude of interpretations that confuse. While an open discussion can be used in the engage phase, when my options are between that and using photos as a teaching aid, it leaves me in a tough position on how to frame two similar activities. As a student, while I appreciate the company's sentiment, clearer options that are laid out would be more beneficial in an MCQ format.
