This unit covers several different sections of grammar. It includes information on phrasal verbs (separable/inseparable, transitive/intransitive), modal verbs (and their level of politeness, their indication of levels of certainty, and whether they indicate permission or obligation), passive voice (converting active voice to passive, excluding the agent of the verb or shifting attention away from it), and different types of clauses (dependent, independent, relative, defining, and non-defining). I learned how to break down the information into simple units and what mistakes students are most likely to make. Because there are so many slight differences between the words in these grammar units, I think it would be fun to use lots of in-class games to practice using and recognizing the differences between them.
