This unit explains the qualities, characteristics and responsibilities of both teachers and students. The author categorize variety of roles teachers play in the classroom based on the necessity of the lesson such as manager, prompter, participants and so on. He also describe what are the major differences between Young learners and Adult students in terms of age, behavior, Life and language experience. I found it to be very interesting. Then the author demonstrated and explained different levels of English language proficiency. Last but not least he mentioned what are the motivation factors for students to study English language. I have learned that a good teacher must understand all of his/her students differences and use the proper technique to assist them to enhance their learning process and experience.
