This unit went over the physical parts of teaching in a classroom and their effects on the students. It went over how the teacher should use their eyes, voice, and how they should stand. It also covered the varying ways of controlling a classroom, through the use of different seating arrangements and what to do should the class become unruly. I found that many of the physical aspects (using the voice, how one should stand) were rather simple. It is a lot like performing! I however had never thought to the layout of the class and how it effects the dynamic. It makes more sense looking back on my time in school however: for when I was in High School we were often in rows being taught. However, while I was in college it was more the horseshoe and pair work methods for they encouraged discussion and exploration.
