In this unit, its been emphasized that listening and reading are the receptive skills. People in general are responding differently to what they listen to in their lives. In fact we do not listen to everything in the same way. Thus, It all depends on our reasons to listen. Some are listening for the purpose of listening, so that they can accomplish a certain goal. While others are listening for entertaining themselves, in which it brings them pleasure and joy. Therefore, there are some difficulties and problems which may occur for learners when practicing listening or reading skill. However, there are some approaches that could facilitate accessing the above mentioned skills, such as pre-teaching vocabulary and using a variety of topics in which it would make everyone one interested in improving their skills.
