This unit was about teaching special groups. It went over strategies for teaching beginner students, and explained that there is a difference between an absolute beginner, who knows nothing of the language, and a false beginner, who has some experience with the language but can't produce. It also went over teaching individual students, and how the classroom dynamics are lost and the style of teaching has to be different. It also mentioned teaching children and methods for business english, such as creating a needs analysis. Finally it explained the differences between teaching a monolingual class, such as you might find in a foreign country, and a multilingual class that would be more common in an English speaking country in which the students are all from different countries who have immigrated, for example.
