This unit covered a basic course introduction. First, this unit introduced the Table of Contents. The Table of Contents gave an overview of what topics would be covered in what unit. Second, this unit introduced the course objectives. Several of the course objectives are to have realistic expectations when Lesson Planning, to create a syllabus, and to introduce professional development opportunities. Third this unit explained what a young learner is. A young learner for the purpose of this course is a learner between the ages of 5 and 13. Finally, this unit introduced the most common employment opportunities. I have learned that there are many different opinions about what a young learner is. I have also learned that, when developing lesson plans, it is important to be flexible and adaptable to every age range.
