The main functions of a lesson plan include: an aid to planning, a working document (reference) and a record. A lesson plan should help us with an organization of a class. The Unit provides us with an example of a detailed lesson plan which includes the following segments: class level, language point, teaching aids, learner objectives, personal aims, anticipated problems for learners and teacher with solutions, procedure ? phase, timing, social forms of classwork. In the end of the Unit there is a sample of a self-evaluation form which may help the teacher in his/her improvement. I?ve found the two sample forms i.e. lesson plan and self-evaluation, the most useful segments of the Unit. The forms are detailed and excellent for beginner teachers. I will certainly use the lesson plan form in my teaching practice.
