This unit taught me how to manage my class more appropriately. The eye-contact, gesture and voice of the teacher plays an important role especially teaching younger students. I am teaching nursery students and most of the time eye-contact and using gestures maintains the discipline in my class. And since I have students with different nationalities, we may also need to consider the gestures that we are giving may have a different meaning in their culture. We may also need to consider that increasing the volume of our voice to gather the students attention especially for young learners may sometime be necessary. And we should also consider that some students behave differently when they have a female or male teacher. Some of our male students respond more to male teachers and some female students respond more to female teachers. Thank you for the lesson.
