In this unit, I learned about future tenses, which can be a very complicated area. This includes the future simple, continuous, perfect, future perfect continuous and the use of going to, the present simple and present continuous for the future. These forms have various uses. For example, the future simple is used for facts, promises and predictions. Future continuous is used to say that something will be in progress in the future. The future perfect can indicate that something will have been completed at some time in the future, and the future perfect continuous states how long something will have been going on by a certain moment in the future. 'Going to' can be used for plans made beforehand, whereas 'will' can be used for spontaneous decisions. Finally, the present simple can be used with a future meaning for formal situations or to convey an impersonal tone.
