A few different areas were covered. The first was modal verbs. I feel that these might be difficult to teach to lower-level English learners. Essentially, modal verbs are auxiliary verbs which modify the main verb. Modals include words such as would, could, should, can, may, and must. These words serve different functions, such as permission, certainty, and ability. The passive voice turns the subject of the sentence into the object, and vise-versa. This is useful when the person doing the object will not be mentioned. \"Tardiness will be punished.\" It is not important to know who will punish. We discussed different types of clauses, of which I already had knowledge.
