This unit?s focus is on the differences among the 4 different present tenses: the present simple, the present continuous/progressive, present perfect, and present perfect continuous. The grammatical forms (both in statement and question form), their usages, the typical errors or mistakes made by students, and sample teaching activities have been discussed for each type of present tense. Similar to the previous chapter on the parts of speech, this has been a good review lesson for me after learning these things when I was in school. Having a clear grasp of the different types of tenses and their uses would make my teaching the language to students be more effective.
