Wow, I can already tell that this will be a challenging unit for students who have no familiarity with the sound of English. With reported speech and conditionals, if you don't intuitively know what sounds 'weird' then I doubt that multiple-choice questions like these will be easy to answer. Even I had my doubts about some of these questions, if only because some incorrect options sounded so similar to correct ones. With many tenses to jungle within one sentence, it'll be important to introduce each new element of the conditionals/reported speech unit gradually, with lots of Activate lesson plans that may be used to judge how well students' are coping with the material.
