I have learnt from this unit that receptive skills include reading and listening. While teaching these skills there can be some different problems for learners connected with this skills. To avoid such problems a good teacher should pre-teach vocabulary and grammar, select the texts carefully, choose topics which are of interest for all students and to create interest before starting a lesson. Reading and listenning skills have some sub-skills, such as predictive reading, scanning specific information, skimming, reading for prediction and deduction. It is also necessary to distinguish motives for reading, which can be motives for a perpose and motives for entertainment.
