Lesson planning is beneficial to give direction to a teacher during class time. I learn that the three important functions of a lesson plan are to aid in planning, to act as a working document during class time and act as a record for class content. In unit 9, I also learn what to include in a lesson plan. It is important to include the learner?s objectives, the teacher?s personal aims, the language point, teaching aids, and the problems the teacher might anticipate. It is also important to include the procedure, phase and timing, as well as the class level, number of students attending the class, date and time, and the observer?s and teacher?s names.
