This unit discusses the second half of the basic skills in any language, the productive skills, which are speaking and writing. Reasons why people speak were given, and differences between accuracy and fluency were discussed. Activities that promote each were also enumerated. Tips on how to encourage students to speak in class and to encourage interaction were also stipulated, as well as guidelines to follow when having a free or creative speaking activity. Factors that affect writing skills were also addressed and a sample creative writing activity lesson was given. Different games that can be incorporated in lessons were also enumerated as reference for future lessons.
