Unit Five covers classroom management. It goes over the teacher's role in managing his/her classroom in terms of their behavior: appropriate eye contact, the use of acceptable gestures, and voice projection. The way students are grouped depends both on the activity at hand and what the teacher wants the students to accomplish. This particular section helped me understand the way my foreign language classes in high school were effective/ineffective when it came to keeping me engaged as a student. I took my experiences, compared them to the unit lessons, and developed a new understanding for the importance of engaging a student effectively when learning a foreign language.
