Unit 13 has been by far the hardest of all so far. I'm sure I could have spent my entire 120 hours just trying to get a complete understanding of the phonemic alphabet. This unit shows us the different ways and methods that can be used to teach proper pronunciation by way of the intonation and stress that can be put on words to teach the students how to say them correctly. The part I found most interesting in this unit was the use of the diagram on page 15 showing the different parts of the mouth that are used to produce the sounds that we use to make up words, parts such as the Velum and Alveolar Ridge. I will definitely go back to this unit and read it many times over.
