This unit was the last one to go over English grammar functions. This particular unit was about modals, phrasal verbs, and the passive voice. There was a graph showing the different modals in English (may, might, can could, shall, etc) and their different meanings. It was important to note that using them in the past tense can change the meaning. The passive voice and active voice were also discussed, and attention was focused on the passive voice and the rules for how it's formed. For example, intransitive verbs can not take the passive tense. Finally, the three types of phrasal verbs were covered. I can see how they would be very difficult for English students to learn.
