Unit 1 taught me that teacher/student interaction is very important as there are different elements that are needed in the classroom for optimum learning such as the teacher needs to take control but also join in on activities with the students and students need to be open mined, speak up when unsure and be confident in active learning. This unit has taught me what it makes to be a good teacher and learner. It highlights skills and qualities of both, such as being a good listener. It also concentrates on differences within the two, such as students may be different ages and be at different stages of learning and everyone within the classroom may be of a different culture.
