This section is a parallel unit to the previous, focusing on the past tense instead of the present. It reviews the forms and usages of the past simple, past continuous, past perfect, and past perfect continuous tense. The prior unit prepared me well for understanding this unit, and by better understanding the different types of past tenses I now understand even better their parallels in the present tense. I believe this will be difficult to teach to students who have not encountered these concepts before, but the material does include good suggestions for simplifying each section as well as useful suggestions for activate games and activities for applying the new grammar.
