This unit was very helpful in learning the basic set of skills needed for any language. Being receptive is equally as important as producing the language itself. There are many different ways a teacher can put all of this into practice. Pre-teaching certain vocabulary can be rather useful but it is very important not to over do it. Vary your topics and make it interesting so students stay engaged in the class. We want to make tasks that are challenging yet achievable. The engage phase is an essential part of many lessons to get the students thinking and talking with each other. Reading and Listening are equally important receptive skills that need to be taught thoroughly.
