This unit features sections on various classroom materials and how they can be implemented in the classroom and adapted to given age groups and lessons. It also features several sample lesson plans for a wide range of age groups and objectives with materials included. Some of the different types of materials that can be used in the classroom include songs, chants, games, stories, drama, and arts and crafts. Stories are especially good because they can be used to teach all four skills (reading, writing, listening, speaking). Additionally, arts and crafts can be uniquely helpful because they activate both sides of the brain in the context of second/target language learning.
