This unit covers the common problems that teachers encounter when teaching and how to deal with each problem as well as the ways to start a new course effectively. In this unit, I have learnt that it is important to establish rapport between students and students as well as students and teacher in the first lesson because it will help the students feel more comfortable and motivated to start learning. I have also learnt about what I can do to deal with the problems that are likely to occur in the classroom, for example, when there are reluctant students in the class, I can use pair-work and role-play often to ensure that they involve in the lesson equally and comfortably.
