Unit 13 Teaching Pronunciation & Phonology, teaches how English words are pronounced and how the different aspects of the sounds of how words are made of are defined. Pronunciation is often neglected when teaching English to students and should be incorporated more rigorously. After all, how well a word is pronounced is what will facilitate the understanding of words being communicated between two speakers. Phonology dissects how the sounds of words are spoken by controlling different aspects of our breath and different parts of our mouths when speaking. In short, English pronunciation and phonology are just as important as vocabulary, grammar, listening and written skills.
