This unit reminded me that the four basic skills in English language are equally important. Teachers should make sure that students develop all skills, not just one. It is therefore important for the teacher to always monitor the progress and performance of each student in order to know which skill needs more reinforcement. However, I believe that teaching the receptive skills could also pose a challenge to the teacher. This is because each student has their own interests, that is, what may be appealing to one may not have any impact to the others , making them feel bored. As such, the teacher should provide varying activities and experience to address each student's needs.
