This unit explained verb structures, forms, tenses and ways to explain and correct different incorrect verb usages by students. Different tenses include the simple present, used to describe routines, habits and facts, the present perfect, used to indicate past actions with current results or actions of the past occurring over an indefinite time period, and present continuous, used when an action is ongoing at the time of speech or to indicate change. Tenses are very important for students to learn and drill so they become habit. Students must know when to use which tense, and how to properly use said tense, so lots of practice in the Study and Activate phases are necessary.
