This unit is all about the conditional tense which uses if. This tense can be in the present, past or future and they are broken down into two clauses the if and main clause. There are five main conditionals and they are zero conditional, first conditional, second conditional, third conditional and mixed conditional. The first conditional is if/when present time, and present time. The second conditional is if, present simple and will. The second conditional is if, past simple, would/could/might and base form. The third conditional is if, past perfect, would/could/might, have and past participle. The last one mixed conditional is if, past perfect, would and base form.
