I agree with the point that speaking and writing are of equal importance as two productive skills. When engaging the students, teachers should carefully select the materials and topics that arouse students' interest and their life experiences so as to ellicit their output .I also believe that much emphasis should be placed on accuracy during the study stage , teachers are encouraged to correct students' mistake with affecting their confidence. More pair work ,group work should be devised to provide ample opportunities for students to experiment and be creative with the new language. Proper amount of time should be allocated to games to boost students' interests in writing.
