Teach English in Changning Zhen - Tangshan Shi
This unit covered how to teach grammar, vocabulary and language functions. Grammar and vocabulary are best taught in the the traditional ESA manner, whereas language functions (agreeing, disagreeing, accepting, inviting, suggesting, etc.) are best taught with the boomerang method (EASA) or the patchwork method (random: ESASEA). While it is not written in stone when and how much vocabulary students should learn (grammar depends more on the age and level of the students), teachers should make sure that students will actually benefit from introduced vocabulary at that stage, that the vocabulary is teachable, and that the vocabulary will often be used and move students forward.
