This unit discussed the importance of lesson planning, the benefits of planning a lesson, the reasons for planning a lesson and how to plan a lesson. It provided a checklist for what a lesson plan should generally include, as well as samples of such lesson plans. It stressed however that even when planning a lesson it is important to allow for alterations and flexibility. It recognized that every teacher has their own method of lesson planning that works for them, and as such each teacher should adjust their lesson planning as best suits them. It also stressed the importance of self evaluation after the lesson, as a well as things you should evaluate and sample for doing so.
