From this unit, I learned common problem situations that a teacher may encounter in the classroom. The first lesson normally include establishing rapport with the students, finding out the students? needs and desires for English language learning. Typical warmer ideas include hangman and memory games. When students are at different levels, some students may learn more quickly than others and the teacher can use ways like using different materials, assigning different tasks or pairing strong students with weaker ones. When dealing with reluctant students, methods include using role-play, controlled practice or a tape recorder.
