This unit overview is about teaching receptive skills. That is the learners are capable of receiving knowledge through reading and listening. i have learned that there are four basic skills in any language. The receptive skill which is reading and listening and productive skill which is speaking and writing. i have learned that before learning any language, the first skill is to listen as people are talking, then you start to read. Then later you start to speak, thereby start writing, i have also learned that there are so many ways why people read and listen. some read and listen for a purpose while others do it for entertainment.
