This unit was helpful and taught me how to deal with problem situations that I may encounter. I learned it is important for a new teacher to establish rapport with their students as well as have their students establish rapport with each other. Learning the language levels and the needs of each student is important. Surveys can be a useful way of seeing what each student needs. A teacher may have large classes as well as classes of students with different levels. A great way to handle large classes or classes with students of different levels is pair work. Additionally, pair work can be helpful when dealing with reluctant students.
