Information on course books and the materials used in a lesson were the main focus in unit 14. The lesson began with explaining the two different types of lesson materials, authentic and creative materials. It then gave examples of lesson materials (cross-words, flashcards, pictures of people or objects, word search, and role-play cards). Afterwards, the unit continued onto the subject of course books. It listed their pros and cons and the best uses for them. It also provided a check list of what to look for when choosing a course book for a particular class. The material provided in this unit will be very advantageous to me.
