This unit cover pronunciation and how to teach it. It talked about how it is often neglected since native teachers cannot hear many differences, but actually pronunciation is key to natural sounding English. With good pronunciation, intonation and stress will properly be utilized. There are a few rules for these, but it's mostly about feeling what's right. There are three types of intonation, rise/fall being the most common. Intonation and stress are important because of the feeling and emotion they bring to the language. Careful attention should be put on articulation in order for students to understand how a certain sound is made.
